Deals on American Products

Top online retailers can now ship internationally

Traveling to the US is a priviledge that only some get to experience.  I am now 30 years old an have watched all of my friends travel to the US year in and year out.  Every time they go, they come back home with some of the coolest American products.  Not only are they cool, but they are cheap!!!
I had one friend come back with a brand new GPS device, another that came back with an unbelievable amount of clothes, and a third that came back with 10 laptops that he is going to sell over here.  Must be nice!
I have always wanted to go to the US and find these deals on  American products, but I just can't afford to make the trip there.
Fortunately for me...I have access to the internet.  I started to search for all of these products online. It is amazing what you can find on American product consolidator sites like www.shopping.com, www.hotproductsforless.com, www.amazon.com, and one of my favorites - www.utopiandeals.com.  This site filters through craigslist and ebay seperating bargains from ripoffs.
Now that I have found these sites, I have realized my new problem...none of them will ship to my home country.  American products are not easy to get!!!
My research continued.  I found a company called Bongo International at http://www.bongous.com and they provide mail forwarding and package forwarding around the world.  it is a pretty interesting service where they set you up with a US address so that you can buy American products from any online retailer.  The retailer ships the products to Bongo International and Bongo takes care of the international shipping and any customs regulations.  I was a little skeptical at first but I figured I would take a chance.
My first purchase was at Amazon.com.  They shipped my first shipment on a Tuesday and it was delivered by the end of the week.  I also made a purchase at www.shopping.com where I found a purse that I have been dying to get.  They shipped the purse and it was delivered the following week.
I hopped on http://www.bongous.com and told them to consolidate my Amazon purchase and my shopping.com purchase.  3 days later, I had my items delivered to my door in Australia.  How cool!  It worked!  By consolidating my two American product purchases, it only cost me $20 per item to ship to Australia.  I saved so much money on the product itself that the additional shipping costs really didn't make a huge difference in the price. Overall, I saved about $120 over what it would have cost me in Australia.  Buying new American products has just become my new favorite hobby!  I now plan to buy things and sell them directly in Australia.  Gotta take advantage of the US Dollar while you can!!!
